We've helped a few of our clients move there domains and hosting from one.com which we initially found very difficult and time-consuming. We're adding these details for anybody else that may want to move there domain and hosting away from one.com but also as a reminder for ourselves, as finding these details on the one.com website are nearly impossible and contacting their support to discuss a move is generally slow.
Here is how you can transfer a .co.uk domain name out of one.com services:
- Cancel your webspace via the One.com chat/mail support - this doesn't cancel the webspace immediately, it cancels the renewal.
- Request an IPS TAG from your new domain name provider.
- You then need to request one.com manually change the IPS Tag by sending them an email from the registrant email address to
The email needs to include your name, company name, domain name & the new IPS Tag.
You also need to fill out the downloadable PDF form (via the link below) and send back a manually signed copy (scanned or photographed) as an attachment.

We don't know why one.com make this process so painful and time-consuming but hope these simple instructions can help others too.
